John Stalcup, Ph.D.
Provost

John Stalcup is currently Provost, Professor of Interdisciplinary Science, Science & Technology Transfer Officer, and member of the Board of Directors of the UNC. Prior to UNC, Dr. Stalcup was President and Chief Academic Officer of Sonoma College, a private college specializing in MRI Technology and Physical Therapy Assistant education. He developed the college’s business plan for an IPO, which became effective in February, 2006. Dr. Stalcup served as Corporate Director (Curriculum and Instruction) for Corinthian Colleges, Inc., a large for-profit postsecondary holding company operating more than 75 colleges and schools in the U.S. and Canada.

Dr. Stalcup was founder, chairman, and CEO of Victory Technology, Inc. for 13 years, a publisher of medical education textbooks, CD-ROMs, Internet courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and emergency medical technician training. Dr. Stalcup completed his doctoral studies at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
